We have commented recently on the proposed redevelopment of Premier Business Park, Sussex Street, BS2. The proposals are for student accommodation but also include space, in the words of the Old Market Community Association (OMCA), for ‘a decent sized supermarket’ that has ‘been a long term desire of the local community.’ The plans also show a community hub and enterprise workshop spaces for new and upcoming businesses.
We welcomed the developer’s positive engagement with the local community, applauded by both the OMCA and Dings Community Association and did not look to second-guess the development principles supported locally. We therefore limited our comments to matters of detail which we believe, if addressed, would improve the proposals and their impact.
