In what promises to be a very stimulating talk, Shankari Raj, known to most as Shanks, will be talking about projects she has helped deliver in Bristol, and also on ‘Radical Progressive Policy Change’ developed by students on her Masters Unit run with Lawrence Duck at the Welsh School of Architecture.
Shanks has run her own architectural practice, Nudge, in Bristol for over 10 years. Recent work by the practice includes The Greenway project, Creative Common (at Temple Meads), OVO Energy headquarters (our featured image), Engine Shed, Temple Studios and ‘The Architect’ bar for Design West. According to her profile on the Nudge website, Shanks aims ‘to challenge traditional approaches to architecture head-on, focusing on community led, sustainable design processes’.
