Carriageworks site Zoom session: 16th September 2020

For very many years the derelict Carriageworks and Westmoreland House site has dominated a very prominent stretch of Stokes Croft. It’s generated many different points of view about what should happen next.

Public consultation is at the heart of many Civic Society activities so it is worth us examining best procedures. How does a consultation ensure the representation of different voices and a wider range of people in planning processes? This Zoom meeting covers consultation over the Carriageworks site. It takes the form of a discussion between the chair of the Carriageworks Action Group, Lori Streich and Civic Society chairman Simon Birch. Lorie has spent the past 10 years collaborating and consulting with people who live and work in the area and in adjacent communities. There will be opportunities for other meeting participants to raise questions or make comments.

To book a place at the meeting, email events@bristolcivicsociety.org.uk. An email containing the Zoom link will then be sent to you nearer the time. If you have not attended a Zoom meeting before, then do not worry as instructions will be given in an email.

Meeting starts at 7.30pm.
