It is proposed to redevelop the 1970s Canningford House office building on Victoria Street. The proposed building would reinstate an old east/west street ‘Long Row’ as a pedestrian route, with an entrance from Victoria Street through a short tunnel, and provide a much better setting for the Cornubia pub.
The Society supports the proposed development. We think this is in most respects a good design response on a difficult site, building around the Cornubia pub.
