Get involved

John Betjeman famously described Bristol as 'the most beautiful, interesting and distinguished city in England'. The Bristol Civic Society's aim is to keep it that way. The Society is an independent, voluntary organisation that exists to improve Bristol's built environment and celebrate its heritage. We do this through our working groups and through our varied programme of events. We rely on the support of the general public and there are a number of ways you can help:

  • Join the Society
    • individual membership costs £20 per year
    • membership for couples cost £30 per year
    • student membership costs £10 per year
  • Volunteer
    • we have many open roles you can help with
    • join one of our working groups
  • Leave a gift in your will or add a codicil to an existing will.

Use the links (above) for more information on ways you can get involved with the work of the Bristol Civic Society.
