It seems to be received wisdom that January is a miserable month- indeed, “experts” (the usual unnamed ones) have identified the third Monday as Blue Monday, supposedly the saddest day in the year.
Hopefully, it’s not that bad for most of us- but it is a good reason to hold a social event to lighten the gloom- carefully timed for late in the month, so that you will have recovered from the excesses of Christmas, and also had time to get fed up with that resolution to have a “Dry January”. This year it’s going to be on Monday 27 January, from 6.00pm
So why not turn off the TV and come along to spend the evening in the comfort of the Watershed bar? It will, as usual, be a very informal gathering, an opportunity to meet old friends, make new ones and discuss the state of the city.
No need to book, just drop in – when you want, at any time from 6pm. We will have exclusive use of the area to the right before you enter the bar. The venue is fully accessible, with a lift, and you will be able to buy drinks, snacks and meals from the Watershed’s renowned cafe and bar, adjacent (note though that food service stops at 8pm on Mondays instead of the usual 9pm). We look forward to seeing you – and bring friends and neighbours.
From 6.00 pm until late, Watershed, 1 Canons Road, Harbourside, Bristol BS1 5TX
