There is an expired planning permission to build along the whole side of the Council offices that would cover the open space between the front of the proposed Portwall Gate building and Temple Way. The Society unreservedly supports the redevelopment of this vacant site. The design of the new building is superior to the lapsed permission. The design complements the neighbouring building and creates a new public pocket park.
