We have been invited by YTL to take a party of members to visit this major mixed use development, on the site of the old airport. There will be an introduction and a tour in minibuses.
The first phase of homes, the Hangar district, is complete. Developments to come include student and retirement homes, the Arena, a new park the size of Castle Park, and more. YTL say ‘During your visit, we will provide a detailed overview of the project. You will then get the chance to walk around the peaceful tree-lined streets at The Hangar District, explore the heritage of the neighbourhood through our approach to street naming, peek into the listed Hangar 16U as it undergoes renovation, and drive down the seemingly endless runway to grasp the scale of the project and get a closer look on everything that is being built on the former Airfield as we speak before heading over to the Brabazon Hangars.’
