The Strides are best known for the numerous houses they built in Sneyd Park and Stoke Bishop, each one unique, built to the highest standards and occupying a large plot. Less well-known is that they also built docks, churches, schools, hotels and even a holiday park at Severn Beach.
In this intriguing, live presentation, Richard Stride will introduce the various generations of his family responsible for different aspects of the business, as well as focus on the substantial houses for which the Strides are renowned.
The presentation starts at 7:30pm in the Apostle Room, Clifton Cathedral, Pembroke Road, Bristol BS8 3BX. There is parking (subject to availability) on site. Tickets cost £5 and members will be invited by email to book a seat.
