The name might have changed, but Bristol 1904 Arts remains as dedicated as ever to the pursuit of the fine arts, painting, music, other performing arts and good fellowship.
Our visit – at the invitation of Bristol 1904 Arts – will provide a rare chance for Civic Society members to look around the ‘Wigwam’, the group’s meeting place. It contains a wealth of artefacts collected over the years, as well as paintings by past and present artist members. We will hear about the group’s long and fascinating history in the company of curator Michael Newstead and archivist Michael Long.
Bristol 1904 Arts is based at The Red Lodge, Park Row, Bristol BS1 5LJ. The visit, which is on Thursday, 19th October 2023, will start at 11am and last for up to two hours. Members will be invited to reserve a place by email.
