Visit to the Stradling Collection: 27th November 2024

The Stradling Collection on Park Row is a remarkable collection of 20th and 21st century design and applied art, started by Ken Stradling, managing director of the Bristol Guild on Park Street until his retirement in 2006.

Before his death, aged 100, Ken received an MBE for his services to the arts in Bristol.

The collection contains almost 2,000 pieces of ceramics, glass, furniture and decorative objects. Many of these are on public display during temporary exhibitions held throughout each year.

A maximum of 25 BCS members will visit the collection for a talk given by curator, Tanya Martin, that will cover Ken’s life and work, the Trust’s collection and charity remit.

Members will have the opportunity to buy unique and beautiful gift hand-made by local makers, which are part of the ‘Selling Exhibition before Christmas. Cash and card payments are available.

Members will be invited to book by email. Tickets cost £5.
