Do you know that gardens and designed landscapes can be ‘listed’ for their importance? And that there is a charitable County Gardens Trust involved in the protection and conservation of our historic parks and gardens locally in Bristol, and in the wider Avon area? Does it have any powers to resist inappropriate development? What does the future look like for Bristol’s parks and historic gardens? Are there concerns that you have locally?
Kay Ross, the Chair of Avon Gardens Trust, will be giving a Zoom talk with illustrations which will provide information on the work that the Trust does (grant-giving, advocacy and advice, restoration projects etc) and its connections with community groups and schools and other organisations. There will be, as usual, an opportunity for questions.
Members will be invited by email to join the event.
